This page is the entrance to all our crypto exchange reviews. If you are looking for Indonesian crypto exchange reviews to decide where to open an account, here is how to use it: pick a name from the cards below, read the licence and fee sections first, then compare with two or three other platforms. The cards are generated automatically from every review that has been published, so the list grows over time. For a one-table comparison, open best crypto exchanges in Indonesia.

What is inside each review

Every review covers the same things so they can be compared: licence status, how to deposit rupiah and at what cost, how to withdraw and how long it takes, the KYC process, trading fees as the platform publishes them, who it suits best, strengths and weaknesses in prose, and an editorial score. That score is our judgment, not a statistical average, and the reasoning is written in the review itself. We do not test each platform's technology; what we assess is fit for an Indonesian reader, with the most weight on licence and user protection.

Two categories we never mix

We hold a strict separation. The first category is platforms licensed by OJK as digital financial asset traders (PAKD), such as Indodax, Tokocrypto, Pintu, Reku, Pluang, Luno and Bybit Indonesia, which is the local entity formerly known as Nobi. The second is offshore platforms without an OJK licence: Binance and CEX.IO. We review the second group because many readers search for them, not because we recommend them as substitutes. OJK named Binance among the platforms it stopped in its August 2026 statement, and CEX.IO holds no OJK licence and does not support rupiah. We never call a foreign platform "legal" or "safe" in Indonesia.

How we score

We give licence the most weight, because it decides whether you have consumer protection and a complaint channel. After that come fee transparency, ease of rupiah deposits and withdrawals, clarity of the verification process, and fit for a particular type of user (beginner, active trader, holder of an overseas card). Fees change fast, for example the CFX fee adjustment on 1 October 2026. The scoring approach is set out on our methodology page. And when a figure cannot be confirmed, we mark it unconfirmed rather than fill the gap with a guess.

ReviewIndodax reviewIndodax is an OJK-licensed PAKD and, per OJK data quoted in the press, holds around 46% of Indonesian crypto users. What we could not confirm: its current maker/taker percentages.
ReviewTokocrypto reviewTokocrypto is OJK-licensed and publishes its whole fee table: 0.2222% taker on IDR buys, 0.4322% on sells. The expensive part is not trading but QRIS and e-wallet deposits at 2%.
ReviewPintu reviewPintu is OJK-licensed and charges no separate trading fee; the cost sits in the price spread. Withdrawal is Rp4,500 and KYC can finish in minutes. The spread percentage is not published.
ReviewReku reviewReku is OJK-licensed with two modes: Lightning with no platform fee and Pro at 0.1%. Virtual-account top-ups are free; withdrawals carry a flat Rp6,500. Its homepage still says Bappebti, which is stale.
ReviewPluang reviewPluang puts crypto next to stocks, gold and mutual funds. Instant Order carries no Pluang fee, only CFX; limit orders cost 0.10% maker and 0.15% taker. Many other details are unverified, and we flag them.
ReviewLuno reviewLuno Indonesia has held a full OJK licence since 25 May 2026 and accepts instant bank deposits from Rp10,000. Its account-closure notice concerns the EU, not Indonesia. Trading fees are unconfirmed.
ReviewBybit Indonesia reviewBybit Indonesia is Nobi, majority-acquired by Bybit and launched in July 2026. The OJK licence belongs to the local entity, not global Bybit. Fees and deposit methods are not yet verified.
ReviewBinance reviewBinance has no OJK licence and OJK named it in 2026 enforcement against unlicensed platforms. Indonesians reach it through P2P rupiah ads, with 1% tax on sales and no OJK consumer protection.
ReviewCEX.IO reviewCEX.IO is an offshore exchange that accepts cards, but it holds no OJK licence and does not support rupiah. We score it 2.4 out of 5 for Indonesian users, and explain why below.
