Pluang: crypto inside an all-in-one app, and what we cannot confirm

Pluang puts crypto next to stocks, gold and mutual funds. Instant Order carries no Pluang fee, only CFX; limit orders cost 0.10% maker and 0.15% taker. Many other details are unverified, and we flag them.

Pluang is a multi-asset investing app: crypto is one shelf beside US stocks, Indonesian stocks, mutual funds, gold and silver. On crypto, the fees look attractive on paper: Instant Order carries no Pluang fee (CFX only), and limit orders cost 0.10% as maker and 0.15% as taker. The catch is that several things we normally score could not be confirmed, from the rupiah withdrawal fee to KYC limits, and we list them one by one below. So this review is deliberately shorter on numbers and longer on "how to check". The nearest comparisons are Reku and Pintu; if you are just starting, read how to buy crypto in Indonesia first.

{{callout type="verify" title="Checked against sources"}} Pluang's official crypto fee page and top-up guide were read at the time. What we could not confirm: the rupiah bank withdrawal fee, KYC limits and review hours, the Instant Order spread percentage, and where the 0.21% income tax appears on the fee page. User counts, coin counts and app-store ratings are homepage claims. CFX is scheduled to fall on 1 October 2026; Pluang's fee page still showed 0.0111%. {{/callout}}

One app, many assets: who is licensed for what

Pluang's homepage lists 620+ crypto assets, 650+ US stocks and ETFs, 950+ Indonesian stocks, 65+ mutual funds, gold and silver, plus crypto options and futures. It also says it has "12 million+" users. Read that correctly: the figure is counted across all products, not crypto buyers alone, so it cannot be compared with a crypto-only app. The coin count is itself contradictory: one Pluang Academy article says "100+ crypto assets" while the homepage says 620+. We do not know which is newer and audited neither.

The licensing map is more useful. The homepage says OJK supervises crypto, US stocks, Indonesian stocks and mutual funds, while gold sits under Bappebti through a different entity (PT Pluang Emas Sejahtera), and the crypto entity is PT Bumi Santosa Cemerlang. That last company is the one on the OJK list published by CNBC Indonesia on 19 December 2025 as a digital financial asset trader (PAKD). So "OJK-licensed" applies to crypto through that entity, not automatically to everything in the app. We could not open ojk.go.id directly from our research environment, so the status rests on press copies. Pluang itself publishes an article on how to check an OJK-licensed crypto app, and the general steps are in our crypto scams guide. The legal background is in is crypto legal in Indonesia.

Instant Order at 0%: what it really means

The official fee page says Pluang charges nothing for buying and selling crypto through Instant Order. What still applies is CFX at 0.0111%, a mandatory levy calculated on transaction value and, per Pluang, inclusive of VAT. The page's own example: a Rp1,000,000 Bitcoin buy attracts Rp111 of CFX, so Rp999,889 worth lands in the account. That is an official example, so it is safe to use.

What the page does not say is whether the Instant Order price already contains a gap between buy and sell prices. Like every instant mode it probably does, but Pluang publishes no percentage. So "0%" means zero Pluang fee, not zero total cost. To check, look at the buy and sell prices for Bitcoin in Instant Order at the same minute and compare them with the market price on Indodax or Pluang's own order-book screen.

Limit and stop orders: 0.10% maker, 0.15% taker

For people who want to place orders in the order book, the fee page lists 0.10% maker (limit or stop-limit orders that add liquidity) and 0.15% taker (market or stop orders that take liquidity), plus the same CFX. Compare Reku Pro at 0.1% on both sides, and Tokocrypto, which publishes 0.20% taker and 0.10% maker on rupiah pairs (buys, before the exchange levy). Pluang sits in a reasonable range, with a taker fee slightly below Tokocrypto's.

Worked example: Rp2,000,000, three ways to buy

This is an illustration using the official page's rates for a Rp2,000,000 purchase, assuming the same price in all three cases. The Instant Order spread is unknown, so it is shown separately.

  • Instant Order: Pluang fee Rp0 + CFX Rp222 = Rp222, plus an unpublished spread.
  • Limit order as maker (0.10%): Rp2,000 + CFX Rp222 = Rp2,222, but it only fills if the price comes to you.
  • Market order as taker (0.15%): Rp3,000 + CFX Rp222 = Rp3,222.

The practical conclusion: Instant Order is cheaper than taker as long as its spread is under Rp3,000 (0.15% of Rp2,000,000), and cheaper than maker as long as it is under Rp2,000 (0.10%), bearing in mind a maker order may not fill. If you sell, the 0.21% income tax (Rp4,200 on Rp2,000,000) applies as a legal obligation under PMK 50/2025 for domestic platforms, as explained in our crypto tax guide. The Pluang fee page we read does not itemise it, so we cannot show you exactly where it is deducted.

Top-ups: VA, QRIS, GoPay and BCA transfer

Pluang's top-up guide, read at the time (with no clear update date), gives the following for the IDR Crypto balance.

MethodFeeMinimumTiming
Virtual account BCA/BRI/MandiriRp1,500 to Rp4,500Rp10,000Real-time
QRIS0.7%Rp10,000Real-time
GoPay1.5%Rp10,000Right after confirmation
BCA DirectFreeRp500,000Real-time to 1x24 hours

A few details people miss. A virtual account only accepts transfers from the same bank, so a BCA VA takes money only from a BCA account. BCA Direct works from any bank, but non-BCA users must choose a Real Time Online transfer, and the system adds a unique five-digit code to the amount. According to one Pluang blog, the virtual-account fee is Rp4,500 below Rp2 million and Rp1,500 from Rp2 million up, and some fees include 11% VAT; we could not confirm that from an official tariff page. As a yardstick, Rp1,000,000 costs Rp7,000 by QRIS, Rp15,000 by GoPay, Rp4,500 by virtual account and nothing by BCA Direct. Comparisons across apps are in our GoPay, OVO, DANA guide. We did not see credit cards as a method; the reasons are in the credit card and PayPal guide.

Withdrawals and sending coins: verified and unverified

We could not confirm the rupiah withdrawal fee, minimum or timing at Pluang; the pages we read do not list them. One point from earlier reading: withdrawals go only from the IDR Crypto balance to a registered bank account. For coins, the official fee page says coin deposits into Pluang are free, coin withdrawals carry a dynamic fee by network and token (examples Rp495 to Rp16,368), and transfers between Pluang accounts are free. So keeping coins in a personal wallet is supported, at the network fee. Before you withdraw a small rupiah amount, open the withdrawal screen and read the fee first; the general cash-out routine is in our guide to selling crypto for rupiah.

Verification (KYC): what we heard, not what we read

We did not read Pluang's official KYC page directly. A search summary of a Pluang Academy article says the process uses an ID photo and a face-verification selfie, usually finishing in 15 minutes to 1x24 hours. Treat that as an estimate, not a guarantee. We have no figures for daily limits by verification level and publish none. Because a Pluang account is usually shared across products, your verification is probably the same for stocks and crypto, but that is an assumption.

Security and habits that help

We found no open audit report or Pluang-specific custodian detail we could read, so we quote no security claims. What applies to every PAKD is the duty to follow OJK rules, and what you can do is switch on two-step authentication, use the app PIN and never share an OTP. Because one account holds many asset types, keep them apart in your head: gold and stock balances are not governed by the same rules as crypto. For crypto, keep larger sums in a personal wallet if you can look after the recovery phrase. If a message claiming to be from Pluang asks you to move funds, treat it as a scam until proven otherwise.

The "unverified" list

To be clear, these are things we deliberately did not write as fact:

  • The fee, minimum and timing for rupiah withdrawals to a bank.
  • The Instant Order spread percentage.
  • Where the 0.21% income tax is deducted on the fee page.
  • Transaction limits and KYC levels, plus review hours.
  • The true coin count (620+ or 100+), and the number of crypto-only users.
  • Fees for crypto futures and options, and the terms of staking returns ("up to 11.3% APR" on the homepage is a ceiling on a claim).

Who suits Pluang, and who should skip it

Picture Rani, who already saves in gold and mutual funds on Pluang. Adding Rp500,000 of Bitcoin by QRIS (Rp3,500) in the same app is more practical than opening a new account, and Pluang's own fee is zero. Pluang makes sense for her. Doni, by contrast, wants to focus on crypto, cashes out often and needs the withdrawal fee up front; since we cannot confirm it, he is safer at Pintu (Rp4,500, documented) or Reku (flat Rp6,500). Another drawback: risky products such as options, futures and up-to-4x leverage on US stocks live in the same app as a Rp10,000 Bitcoin buy button, so beginners need discipline in choosing menus.

Pluang compared with Reku, Pintu and Luno

Reku publishes its withdrawal fee and a Lightning mode with no platform fee; Pintu uses a final price and withdraws at Rp4,500; Luno has only been fully licensed since May 2026 and also has many details unverified. Pluang's advantage is one account for many assets; its weakness is that crypto details are thinly documented where we can read them. A wider list is in the best crypto exchanges.

Our score: 3.9 out of 5

The 3.9 is an editorial judgement. In its favour: an OJK-licensed crypto entity, Instant Order with no Pluang fee, reasonable 0.10% and 0.15% limit fees, QRIS at 0.7%, a Rp10,000 minimum and one account for many assets. Against: the rupiah withdrawal fee and KYC limits could not be confirmed, the Instant Order spread is unpublished, coin-count claims contradict each other, and risky products sit in the same app. The score is lower than Pintu's not because Pluang is more expensive, but because we could prove less. How we score is on our methodology page and other write-ups are in the reviews index. All figures are; open the official Pluang fee page for today's rates.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pluang legal and licensed by OJK?

PT Bumi Santosa Cemerlang, Pluang's crypto entity, appears as an OJK-licensed digital financial asset trader on the list reproduced by the press. Pluang's homepage says OJK supervises crypto while gold sits under Bappebti through another entity. The crypto licence does not automatically cover every product. Check the name and domain on the OJK list.

What are Pluang's crypto trading fees?

Per the official fee page, Instant Order carries no Pluang fee, only CFX at 0.0111% including VAT. Limit and stop orders cost 0.10% maker and 0.15% taker. The official example: a Rp1,000,000 Bitcoin buy attracts Rp111 CFX. The Instant Order spread is not published.

What is Pluang Instant Order?

Instant Order buys or sells immediately at the price the app offers, with no order book. Pluang says it charges no fee for this mode, although CFX still applies. Whether the quoted price already contains a spread is not disclosed, so compare it with the market price first.

How much does it cost to top up Pluang?

Per Pluang's top-up guide, read: virtual account Rp1,500 to Rp4,500 (minimum Rp10,000), QRIS 0.7%, GoPay 1.5%, and BCA Direct transfer free with a Rp500,000 minimum. Pluang says some fees include 11% VAT. The page shows no clear update date.

How much does it cost to withdraw rupiah from Pluang?

We could not confirm Pluang's rupiah bank withdrawal fee; the pages we read did not list it. What is verified: coin withdrawals to an outside wallet carry a dynamic network fee, for example Rp495 to Rp16,368, and transfers between Pluang accounts are free. Check the app before withdrawing.

Is Pluang good for beginners?

It suits people who already use the app for stocks or gold and want a little crypto. The homepage lists a Rp10,000 minimum for crypto. The drawbacks: many crypto details are unverified, and risky products such as futures and options sit beside the buy button.

How many coins and users does Pluang have?

Pluang's homepage claims 12 million+ users and 620+ crypto assets, while one Pluang Academy article says 100+ crypto assets. The figures conflict and are all company claims. Users are counted across every product, not just crypto, so the number cannot be compared with crypto-only apps.
