- Tokocrypto against Indodax and Pintu
- Our score: 4.0 out of 5
Tokocrypto is the OJK-licensed local exchange that is most open about its numbers: its whole transaction fee table is published, which makes the maths easy. Trading costs on IDR pairs are reasonable, but two things eat into your value: deposits by QRIS or e-wallet cost 2%, and the sell side costs 0.4322% because it includes the income tax. If you fund by virtual account and buy with limit orders (as a maker), your total cost is among the lowest of the apps whose numbers we could verify. This review goes through the figures one by one and then sets them against Indodax and Pintu. For a wider choice, see the best crypto exchanges in Indonesia.
{{callout type="verify" title="Checked against sources"}} The fee table we use has applied since 18 June 2026 at 01:00 WIB, after the exchange and clearing migration. The deposit guide was read at the time. The per-level KYC limits that were once published now point to a 404 page, so we do not list them. The exchange component in the table is called ICEx fee; whether it also falls on 1 October 2026 is something we could not confirm. Check the official fee page before you decide. {{/callout}}
A fee table you can read to the end
Tokocrypto splits its cost into three layers: the Tokocrypto fee, tax and the exchange fee. Per the official table in force since 18 June 2026:
| Trade | Tokocrypto fee | Tax + exchange fee | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| IDR pair buy, taker | 0.20% | VAT 0% + ICEx 0.0222% | 0.2222% |
| IDR pair buy, maker | 0.10% | VAT 0% + ICEx 0.0222% | 0.1222% |
| IDR pair sell, taker | 0.20% | PPh 0.21% + ICEx 0.0222% | 0.4322% |
| IDR pair sell, maker | 0.10% | PPh 0.21% + ICEx 0.0222% | 0.3322% |
| USDT / crypto pairs | 0.15% | PPh 0.21% + ICEx 0.0444% | 0.4044% |
Worth noticing: on USDT and crypto pairs the table lists the 0.21% PPh on the buy side as well, so 0.4044% applies in both directions. That is how the table reads, but it is higher than an IDR-pair buy. On terms: a maker posts a limit order that waits in the order book, a taker fills immediately. The tax follows PMK 50/2025: no VAT (PPN) on buying or selling crypto, and a final 0.21% income tax (PPh Article 22) on sales, as explained on the tax office site and in our crypto tax guide. Tokocrypto also lists 5% tax (progressive income rate) on staking rewards and 0% on DCA.
One detail surprises people: the exchange fee in the table is called "ICEx fee", not CFX. That follows the June 2026 exchange and clearing migration. While Pintu, Indodax, Reku and Pluang showed a 0.0111% CFX component up to 30 September, we cannot say whether Tokocrypto's ICEx line follows the 1 October 2026 cut.
Who Tokocrypto suits
The biggest winners are buyers who want to know exactly what they pay before pressing the button. An open table and a maker-taker split make the maths on paper match the maths in the app. Next are people already familiar with the Binance ecosystem: Tokocrypto is a local exchange linked to Binance (global Binance is unlicensed in Indonesia, as explained in our Binance review). We could not confirm Binance's ownership percentage from a primary source, so we only state the link. A press piece from Infobank dated mid-September 2026 quotes the company as saying it has over 5 million users, with active users up 75% in the first half of 2026; treat that as a company claim relayed by the media. The company also mentioned plans for tokenised stocks (40+ already), futures and AI-assisted trading by the end of 2026; read that as a roadmap, not as features to count on.
Less suitable: people who lean on QRIS for small, frequent deposits, since 2% is plainly pricier than the 0.7% QRIS fee at Indodax. A comparison of e-wallet routes is in our guide to buying with GoPay, OVO, DANA and QRIS.
Depositing rupiah: methods, minimums, speed
Per the deposit guide read at the time, Tokocrypto accepts BCA, BRI and Mandiri virtual accounts, blu by BCA Digital, QRIS, and the e-wallets OVO, GoPay, ShopeePay, DANA and LinkAja; announcements also mention a Nobu virtual account. QRIS and e-wallets carry a 2% fee. We did not find a stated fee for virtual-account deposits on the pages we read, so check the screen before you send, and note that your sending bank may charge its own fee.
The IDR minimum deposit was lowered to Rp10,000 in stages between 3 and 10 June 2026, but the QRIS page still says Rp50,000, so treat Rp50,000 as the safe figure for QRIS. Funds usually land in under 5 minutes, can take up to 24 hours, and are slower between 22:59 and 05:00 WIB. Credit cards and cash are not on the list; the reasons are in our credit card and PayPal guide and cash guide.
Verification and limits: about one business day
Level 1 KYC asks for a KTP for Indonesians or a KITAS for foreigners, personal details including source of income, and a liveness selfie. Per the app guide, review takes "about 1 business day", longer than the 10 minutes to 24 hours Pintu publishes, so do not open an account five minutes before you want to buy. The guide for foreign nationals (KITAS, KITAP, visa) we only saw through a search snippet because the page refused access, so we do not promise that a tourist can register. An NPWP is not listed as a requirement in the guides we read.
On transaction limits, one snippet once cited Level 1 at up to 3 BTC and Rp250 million per 24 hours, and Level 2 at up to 100 BTC and Rp5 billion (requiring a source-of-wealth form and three months of bank statements). That KYC-level page now returns 404, so treat those numbers as stale and check in the app. For the very first steps, see how to buy crypto in Indonesia.
Withdrawing: Rp10,000 and the USDT detour
A rupiah withdrawal to a bank costs Rp10,000. The official guide (an Indonesian-language page updated roughly a year ago) says about 15 minutes and at most 1x24 working hours depending on bank clearing. There is one trap: a coin without an IDR pair must first be sold to USDT, and only then USDT to IDR. Two sales mean the fee is charged twice, and the USDT pair in the table costs 0.4044%. So before you buy a niche coin, check whether it has an IDR pair. The full cash-out routine is in our guide to selling crypto for rupiah.
A worked example: Rp1,000,000 of Bitcoin, from deposit to cash-out
Everything below is illustrative, uses the 18 June 2026 table and assumes the price does not move. Fees are deducted from the trade value.
- Deposit Rp1,000,000 by virtual account. We found no VA deposit fee, so we assume Rp0 and ignore the sending bank's charge.
- Buy Bitcoin on an IDR pair as a taker: 0.2222%, or Rp2,222. About Rp997,778 remains. As a maker: Rp1,222, leaving Rp998,778.
- Sell it back as a taker: 0.4322% of Rp997,778, about Rp4,312. As a maker: 0.3322% of Rp998,778, about Rp3,318.
- Withdraw to your bank: Rp10,000. {{/steps}}
The full round trip costs about Rp16,534 as a taker both ways (around 1.65%) or Rp14,540 as a maker both ways (around 1.45%). If you deposit by QRIS at 2% (Rp20,000 on Rp1,000,000), the total jumps to about Rp36,500 in the taker case. In other words, the 2% at the door costs more than all the trading fees in both directions. That is why your funding route often matters more than the trading rate.
When Tokocrypto is not the best choice
Three small scenarios help. First, you want to buy Rp200,000 of Bitcoin by QRIS after work: a 2% deposit fee is Rp4,000, whereas 0.7% at Indodax is Rp1,400, a Rp2,600 gap before a single rupiah reaches trading. Second, you deposit Rp10 million by virtual account and buy with a limit order: the 0.1222% maker fee is just Rp12,220, paid for by waiting for your order to fill; here Tokocrypto is very competitive. Third, you buy a coin that only has a USDT pair: 0.4044% each way, plus a double sale on the way out, can push a full cycle past 1%. The answer is not "do not use it" but "pick the right funding route and order type".
Security: company claims and what you can check
The licence is checkable: PT Aset Digital Berkat appears on the OJK list reproduced by the press on 19 December 2025, and the homepage claims OJK supervision. For technical protections such as cold storage and insurance, we did not read an official page that describes them in detail, so we are not repeating any security claim. What you can do yourself: switch on two-step authentication, use a withdrawal whitelist if one is offered, and beware of fake "Tokocrypto admin" accounts on social media; this pattern is covered in our crypto scams guide. If you hold a large balance, a wallet of your own reduces dependence on a single platform.
Weaknesses
The 2% QRIS and e-wallet deposit fee is the most glaring. The 0.4322% taker sell cost is higher than the 0% platform-side instant fee at Reku and Pluang. KYC of around one business day means the first purchase is not instant. Partly stale information (a 404 for KYC limits, an out-of-sync QRIS page and minimum) means users must double-check in the app. We publish no app-store rating, because the snapshot we saw showed an old update date. The exchange component has been renamed ICEx without an explanation we could trace for the 1 October change. Finally, on OTC: per information passed to us, Tokocrypto's OTC desk has been live since 6 November 2025 with a minimum of roughly US$10,000 equivalent, trading USDT against IDR, and Warta Ekonomi (18 September 2026) reports OTC volume up 64 times versus the second half of 2025. We have not read Tokocrypto's own OTC page, so treat this as secondary information; details and desk comparisons are in our crypto OTC guide.
Tokocrypto against Indodax and Pintu
Against Indodax, Tokocrypto wins on fee openness but loses on QRIS cost (2% versus 0.7%) and on user numbers according to OJK data quoted in the press. Withdrawal is Rp10,000 at both. Against Pintu, Tokocrypto shows its percentages whereas Pintu folds them into the price; Pintu withdraws for Rp4,500 and publishes a faster verification window. The table sets the three side by side.

| 2IndodaxVisit site Read review | Local OJK-licensed (PAKD), local | Tiered maker/taker; withdrawal Rp10,000 | Bank VA, QRIS 0.7%, e-wallets 1.5–2% | Big coin list, largest user base |
| 3PintuVisit site Read review | Local OJK-licensed (PAKD), local | No separate fee (spread); bank withdrawal Rp4,500 | Bank VA free, min. Rp50,000 | Beginners who want a simple app |
Our score: 4.0 out of 5
The 4.0 is an editorial judgement. In its favour: PAKD status, a full fee table with an effective date, a 0.1222% maker fee on IDR buys and an honest explanation of the USDT route. Against: the 2% QRIS deposit, KYC of about a day, partly outdated documentation and uncertainty over the exchange fee after 1 October. For careful buyers who use virtual accounts it is a good choice; for people who want everything fast by e-wallet, the cost shows. How we score is on our methodology page and other write-ups are in the reviews index. All figures are; open the official Tokocrypto site for today's rates.

Frequently asked questions
Is Tokocrypto legal and supervised by OJK?
Yes. PT Aset Digital Berkat (Tokocrypto) is on the OJK list of licensed digital financial asset traders as published by the press on 19 December 2025, and Tokocrypto's homepage says it is supervised by OJK. The licence belongs to the local entity, not global Binance. Match the name and domain against OJK's live list.
What are Tokocrypto's trading fees?
Per the official table valid from 18 June 2026, IDR buys total 0.2222% taker and 0.1222% maker. IDR sells total 0.4322% taker and 0.3322% maker, including the 0.21% income tax. USDT or crypto pairs are 0.4044%. The exchange component is labelled ICEx fee, not CFX.
How much is the Tokocrypto QRIS deposit fee?
QRIS and e-wallet deposits carry a 2% fee per the deposit guide read at the time. The IDR minimum fell to Rp10,000 in June 2026, although the QRIS page still says Rp50,000. Funds usually arrive in under 5 minutes, up to 24 hours, and slower between 22:59 and 05:00 WIB.
How long does Tokocrypto KYC take?
Level 1 needs a KTP for Indonesians or a KITAS for foreigners, personal details including source of income, and a liveness selfie. The official guide says review takes about 1 business day. Per-level limits were once published but that page now returns 404, so we do not repeat them.
How do I cash out from Tokocrypto to my bank?
Sell to rupiah, then withdraw to a bank account in your own name for Rp10,000. The official guide says about 15 minutes and at most 1x24 working hours depending on bank clearing. A coin without an IDR pair must first be sold to USDT, then USDT to IDR.
Is Tokocrypto the same as Binance?
No. Tokocrypto is an OJK-licensed local exchange linked to Binance, whereas global Binance is unlicensed in Indonesia and was named by OJK in August 2026 among platforms it stopped. We could not confirm Binance's exact shareholding from a primary source.
